A Humdingers Success Story

Background

When my restaurant was built, the speaker configuration was absolutely awful. It was determined during the install that the plans were not correct, so quick decisions were made in order to get the job done quickly. As a consequence, both the speaker selection and placement were inadequate and the sound quality was quite poor.

Challenge

We needed to modify the existing equipment to provide a good-quality sound in an open-ceiling environment where a lot of noise exists during busy conditions.

Solution

Scottie Rokas and team (including Christian Young) met at the restaurant to assess the situation during our busiest period. Within an hour or so, a proposal was on the table. First, we were told the speakers were not designed to provide quality sound in our environment, so they needed to be replaced. Second, the speakers were positioned in a way that prevented the sound from being directed toward our customers and the placement needed to be modified.

Results

Within a week or so, Christian and his team showed up and as promised prior to open. Eight quality speakers were suspended from the ceiling at exactly the correct height. And the sound was great – even during the busiest and loudest hours!

Conclusion

Scottie, Christian and team were able to take a very frustrating situation and turn it into a great display of “taking care of the customer.” My business partner and I will continue to use South Central A\V in all future endeavors (of which I anticipate many).
