Background
The Huntsville Stars are the AA Affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers and play home games at Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville, AL.
Challenge
The stadium was aging and the sound system was outdated and in disrepair. The only speaker array was in centerfield, 450 feet from the seats behind home plate. Even the blowing wind would affect the sound quality. We needed somebody with a professional background that could work within a budget and evaluate, troubleshoot and repair our sound system.
Solution
A South Central A\V representative showed up and walked thru the facility that was affected by the current sound system. He listened to our problems and concerns, and made suggestions along the way. He didn't try to sell us something we didn't need or couldn't afford. He even made suggestions that will save us money if we choose to upgrade our system in the future.
Results
We received a quote within hours of our rep's visit. After a short waiting period for the job approval, a South Central A\V crew came out and installed exactly what we needed. The installation was done correctly and in a matter of hours. Our rep followed up with us in the next couple days and made slight adjustments to fine tune everything. The results were astonishing and when the fans came back for our next game, coincidentally, the 4th of July, they were blown away by what they heard. The biggest compliment came from our center fielder who said, "In my two years here, I never heard the broadcasts from the speakers that were located right behind me. Now I can hear everything, even with crowd noise, and I'm three or four hundred feet away!
Conclusion
Go ahead and get your bids from the other companies, but in the end you'll use South Central A\V because they're professional, affordable and won't sell you anything you don't need. Making your company sound good makes them look good, and they're looking real good at Joe Davis Stadium!
