Background
We are a percussion studio at the University of TN at Martin, comprised of 20 music majors and me, their teacher, Dr. Julie Hill.
Challenge
We needed to upgrade to a higher level of playback and recording in order for our musicians to realize their full potential and reach the next level of musical artistry, without the restrictions of substandard equipment.
Solution
When Jay McCutcheon visited UT Martin, he quickly demonstrated that he was a highly skilled technician. His presentation to my students regarding the upgrade possibilities, both verbally and visually (with PowerPoint), was top-notch and well prepared. Jay spoke to them with the heart of a teacher, but also with a command of knowledge that will leave them craving to find out more about sound! We are, after all, in the same business when it comes down to it. In the end, he gave us a nice choice of quality options that answered all the studio’s needs. And the service and installation of our new system were impressive!
Results
The sound system rack the South Central A\V team assembled for us is just fantastic. We are ready to make music as well as any other percussion studio in the country. In addition, Jay McCutcheon and South Central A\V are now located on our website, where I have posted photos on the “photos/media” menu.
Conclusion
I am totally impressed with my gear and service. My students are all future educators and performers, and you have created loyal customers in this percussion studio, I can assure you.
